Freebie - CU Overlay #1

Whew.....today is the end of July 2009! So soon the time passes by on ... and it means I'm older by 1 more month he...he...he...

Well... today, I want to share my freebie again, and it is a patterned overlay, 300 ppi, a transparent .png file, so it will be easy to recolor to suit your scrapbooking work, and it's for personal & commercial use - okay.

LOs using EOS Kit

Last week was a very hectic week for me : ). I was the host for our collab kit, 'End of Summer', so I had to choose the color scheme, theme, and prepare the previews for 62 papers and hundreds of elements. It was my 'very first experience' to arrange a collab kit in a preview, OMG..... so many things (more than hundred elements) I had to put in a small frame.... resizing... rotating... pulling up & down, shadowing... I thought that I would never finish it, LOL! There will always be a 'first time' for everything. I'm relieved now after being a Host for our EOS collab kit, but I'm not satisfied ... as still I have lot of room for improvement for the next collab previews.


One day after we published EOS collab kit, my other 6 Indonesian friends and me decided to make other collab kit called 'Indonesia Unite'. He...he...he... I can't tell how my feeling was at that time, because I had to submit my last assignment at Gingerscraps.net as well, yup... I joined an online class at GS.


So... in almost 1 week I made 2 kits, 5 layouts and 2 jumbo previews, totally : )


And finally, this week I had a little freedom to have fun decorating my photos that I took during this summer. My DH and me went on an outing on the bike...and I think this time summer is nice enough and we really enjoyed it. I used my own End of Summer Kit for these 3 LOs below:

Indonesia Unite - Freebie Kit

Most of you must’ve already heard about the twin bomb blasts in 2 of the best hotels in Jakarta – JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton on July 17th. First and foremost, as a human being, we condemn such heinous act, and as an Indonesian myself, I feel pained that it happened in my country.

As an integral part of humanity, my heart goes out to the victims and to their families in this moment of grief. One of our expressions to share our condolences is by creating this Indonesia Unite collab kit, which is made using Indonesia's flag colours. I dedicate this collab kit to the innocent people who died in these blasts and to their surviving family members.

I know that majority of us are against any kind of terrorism and to show the world that we, as both human beings and Indonesians, are united in our effort to make the world a much better place to live. We need the support from all the people around the world to go through this, to against terrorism. United we stand !

End of Summer Kit - Collab Freebie

In a dream world

I had so much fun when I was doing this LO. The kit "Mon petit jardin" by Maelia Designs is so inspiring and gave me a quick idea at that time. And look at the result, as if my sis-in-law & her son were in a beautiful dream world.

Friends - LO

This LO was created by using "Darjeeling mini kit" by Sweet Tomato Designs and the picture of my sis, Imelda & her friends, Shaka & Sigrid. Look at the colors, wow..... this mini kit caught my eyes immediately and especially the title "Darjeeling", it's a name of a tourism city in North India (I'm living in South India right now). So, I was a little surprise at the time I saw it, then I told myself "I gotta have it for my LO", yup it's really nice. Here is the preview of this lovely kit:

This cute baby is Sampada, the daughter of Mr. Raju, my DH's boss in office. Thank you, Raju Sir, for sharing your daughter's picts as the model for my projects. Gingerscraps Boot Camp diploma

What a nice surprise to find this certificate in my mailbox! I joined an online class at Gingerscraps.net, and the great thing about it, it was FREE !!! This certificate was given after I completed the basic level where I learnt about Photo Editing, Shadowing, Clustering, and other interesting materials, and now, I'm in the next class, a little bit more advanced. I'm really glad that I joined the Officer's Training School.

Harmony Star aka Rachel is my Drill Sergeant in my class. She is a wonderful Lady who has always supported & helped us, and she is a specialist in Photo Editing techniques. Thank you so much, Rachel and other Drill Sergeants as well !

I'm back....finally !

Thank God, I finally got my internet connection transferred !!! Wow.... it was a long...long...long...time to wait for it - 5 weeks ! I almost gave up, as they promised me it would take only 3 weeks, but due to underground cable connection problems, they couldn't do it on time. Haaaahhhhh..... at least now I can breath normally lol... and back to the world of digiscrap ... hoorray.....yippie.... hooo....hooo....hooo....!!!
